Charlie Pride & Covid-19

Charlie Pride has died at age 86. I enjoyed his music on occasion. And I feel sorrow that he has passed. My heart hurts for his family. They’ve lost a father, grandfather, uncle, and probably many more relationships.

But his death or anyone else’s should not be propaganda fodder. Her are the headlines:

I know this is a small sampling but six out of ten headlines stated his death was due to Covid-19 or Covid-19 complications. A couple others listed Covid in the subheadline. I read several of the full articles. NOT ONE article mentioned any other health concerns. Is this import?

And everyone say, “YES!”

WHY? Because not acknowledging the whole story leads to perpetuating BULLSHIT!

Let’s consider some reported facts.

  • The CDC has reported that 6% of Covid-19 deaths are from Covid-19 alone.
  • The survival rate of Covid-19 infection is well north of 99%.
  • Hospitals were paid more if a death was related to Covid-19. (ok, this doesn’t really apply–but it’s true.)

The conclusion from these facts is that the vast majority of people recover from Covid-19. Vast. And very few die from Covid-19 alone. Very few. So the answer to Covid deaths largely lies in comorbidities.

Comorbidities are other diseases by which someone’s health is compromised. There are many and many may be present at the same time. And each is already leading the individual toward death.

So a better question or a more meaningful report would answer, “what complicated his or her Covid illness?” What is stopping someone from overcoming Covid-19? The answer is pretty simple: It’s the comorbidities.

When considering the comorbidities, Covid-19 may be the “trigger” but the cause of death is multi-faceted. On a death certificate, as the medical director of Sollis Health LA, Dr. Scott Braunstein, MD, points out, “in most cases, there are multiple contributing diagnoses, and it is common practice to list more than one factor.” The CDC also stated, “Death certificates list any causes or conditions that contributed to the death” Contribution is different than causation but the world population, that’s includes you and me, has been conditioned to see only Covid. Dr. Braunstein again points out, “underlying diabetes or coronary artery disease are common diseases that contribute to mortality, even when the immediate trigger for death was pneumonia, influenza, or some other infectious process”. Again, trigger not sole cause. A “Covid-19 related” death is different than death by Covid-19. The former is frequent, the latter is rarer. Yet it is the rare that is dictating life. The truth is far different than the bullshit being peddled by many media sources.

Charlie Pride’s death is sorrowful but to headline his death with Covid for the purpose of perpetuating bullshit is disrespectful of the man. Shameful.

Throwing BULLSHIT

This is the headline today. For many this is the ultimate victory. For others a bitter defeat. Let’s think.

The ruling was dismissed for procedure/technical issues not for lack of evidence. Evidence is abundant. Period.

Testimony. Forensic statistical analysis. Video.

How much more does it take before the Democrat/liberal minded call BULLSHIT?

Of course, maybe there is no honor among thieves.

AOC Bullshit #27,966

Sorry I can’t comment on all of her BULLSHIT … that would be a lot of posts! So here’s some recent manure:

AOC is seen her berating 106 House Republicans for standing up for election integrity while stating that people are starving and small business are shuttering their doors.

Forgotten is the importance of election integrity so anything to distract from possible corruption is standard operating procedure.

But just 3 hours later, AOC talks out of the other side of her mouth:

Let’s spend more tax payer dollars on museums because people are starving and business are closing. This is the proverbial “let them eat cake”. It’s not that Sen. Lee disagreed with honoring Latinos or women, he was just being considerate of the burden of over taxation on the American people.

I call BULLSHIT! You can’t say you want to help the starving while chastising someone standing against spending public money that has to be taken from the public, THE VERY PUBLIC YOU SAID IS STARVING AND GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.

AOC, you smell like you step in it. Again.

AOC Bullshit #26,656

I know, it’s a gimme. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), AKA Sandy, opens her mouth or pens something and it’s automatic BULLSHIT, again. So shoot me.

So here’s a recent tweet:

I actually laughed when I read it. AOC calling republicans snowflakes! It IS funny!

But I digress. AOC is peddling BULLSHIT here. Republicans as a whole would rarely belittle hard work. Anyone working hard at an honest job to take care of their needs in life is to be celebrated. And they should be a proud American.

What I would make fun of is the thought that at the age of 29 and with less than a handful of years experience actually working–AS A WAITRESS/BARTENDER, AOC has the the belief she has an answer to governing America. Almost as unbelievable is how people prop her up as if she knows something!

When I pointed some of this out in a response tweet, Ms. Stephanie Keith replied:

As I replied to Ms. Keith, hardworking people are ok. Hardworking. Hard work pays off. Of course, we ALL start at entry level which does not come with all of the perks that comes with working hard long-term to demonstrate one’s work ethic. A person’s stability to work. Hard work leads to raises, promotions, or the opportunity to work a better job with another company. This merit based betterment should be the same for those that are employed by the US Government, we the people. Of course we know that often this isn’t really the case. As a side note, this is one of the best arguments for less government and less taxes–not more of both! But this seems to be the opposite of Keith’s phrase “because we have earned it”.

What have we earned? Seriously? What have we EARNED?

Here is the implication of Keith’s statement. AOC and every other American at 30 has EARNED some life privileges. This thought is nothing short of entitlement. AOC attended college, worked on a Ted Kennedy campaign, was an “activist”, then with all of her life skills and education began waitressing for a couple of years YET she has EARNED.

I call BULLSHIT!

Life is full of choices. Life is full of happenstance. It is not fair and never will be fair. Believing that we have earned something is immaturity and counterproductive to society. AOC and other like-minded individuals are attempting to replace hard work with entitlement–at the expense of those who are hardworking.

Yeah. That’s not divisive.
