Today’s politically left tend to fall into several overlapping and overly simplified categories:
A. Generational Democrats
Ask a democrat why they are a democrat and the answer is often, “My parents were” or “My family are all”. Then ask the parents why they vote for democrats and the same answer appears. Grandparents? Same response. Not a response of thinking of the issues, but a family tradition (channel your Hank Williams, Jr here). What is not recognized is that the generational thinking goes back far beyond today’s living family. All the way back into the 1820s and was pro-slavery and anti-black in America. This basically persisted into the 1960s. It APPEARED to change in the 1960s with the passage of the civil rights movement but it is abundantly evident now that the civil rights were just a semantic change to continue to subjugate black America, this time to the leadership of the government. These people are democrats because of a generational mindset and its why this group falls for G and H.
B. Live in the Here and Now
We’ve all be rightly told to live in the moment. When were on vacation and experiencing some incredible moments with family, when we are watching our kids accomplish something, experiencing moments with the grandkids; YES, live in the here and now! Be completely present, enjoy, and remember forever. But that is NOT the present experience of living in the here and now in America. Today’s here and now living is firmly grounded in the self-centeredness of “I want more, my happiness, and I want it now.” The notion isn’t new. The old idiom “keeping up with the Joneses” has been around since the early 1900s but the heart issue was addressed in the 10th Commandment. (insert happiness, etc. for “Joneses, if you like) The difference today is that it is an accepted notion, even a core value. No longer do parent’s teach their children to overcome selfishness but instead to embrace their own selfishness and to champion the selfishness of others. From this perspective, it is easy to see the growing appeal of socialism (“democratic” socialism is just socialism) in America among the democrats. These people are democrats because of the false promises to fulfill their selfishness. Which is why this group falls for the bullshit of G and H.
C. The generation that introduced wide-spread participation trophies
Somewhere in the early 1920s, someone started giving out ribbons or tokens to show someone participated. The practice grew throughout the century but exploded in the 1980s. Remember when games stopped keeping score? Participation should be honored when everyone recognizes the effort just to get there. Someone completes a marathon but crosses the finish line last? That person may not have won but participation was an accomplishment. Here’s where the problem is:
When participation overshadows competitive accomplishment it teaches the wrong lessens.
When the awards of accomplishment are equal to or minimally above the awards for participation it teaches entitlement, leads to a decline in competitive or accomplishment standards, and a fragile emotional resilience when simple existence isn’t celebrated. These people are democrats perpetuate they myth that participation is sufficient to fulfill all their dreams. This is also why they fall for the bullshit of G and H.
D. First Generation of Participation Trophy Recipients
This generation grew up to believe they should get good grades because of their attempt to learn not due to their mastery of the subject. They expect someone to clean up their problems because if they suffer the consequences that would belittle their celebrated and highly praised effort. These people belong to the democrat party as it embodies this bullshit of success without accomplishment. And people who grew up never learning to reason and apply logic fall for this bullshit again and again and again and fall for G and H bullshit.
E. The Generations After
This is a large age group that has come after the dysfunction of the participation tropyites. There is a body of research that suggests generational family dysfunction leads to a high risk of psychiatric disorders in as little as three generations. While not deterministic to any individual, when observed at the societal level it is an interesting picture. American society today is living in this outcome, not as a whole but in a vocal, militant minority that promotes fear, threats, and violence if everyone doesn’t bend to their bent, bend to their selfishness. We’ve taken healthy boundaries once established for protection and turned boundaries into an excuse for selfishness. And the political left take advantage of these individuals. This generation’s rampant disregard for logical and reasoned thought process, what was once known as common sense, has vanished in their circle so they fall for the bullshit. These people are another form of generational democrats and are especially easy to the fall for G and H bullshit.
F. Victimhood
Is there anyone in America that is not a victim? We’ve become a society of learned helplessness and embraced victimhood. Does the rest of society tell you “no”, that your effort wasn’t enough to warrant a raise, or that your behavior is not acceptable? Then you are a victim! And the political left proclaims that with victimhood comes government handouts, because that will fix everything. These people have the self-identity of “I’m a victim so I’m a democrat”. And they fall for the pandering of the G and H pandering.
The saddest part of this outcome is the disregard of real victims. Victims who really needs assistance. Assistance that is diverted in ways that are not helpful to a society of learned helplessness. But it sure keeps democrats in office!
G. Schemes to Defraud the Citizens of America
Although its rather prominent at the moment, I really don’t want to single out any one instance but why not? The presence of the massive fraud of government funded programs in Minnesota illustrates not an individual’s corruption but of an immigrant nationality purposefully residing in close proximity enrich themselves. This geographical pooling also provides a powerful voting block to elect those to the halls of congress who will enable the very means and methods of defrauding you and me and our neighbors, our friends, and our families. These people are democrats to align themselves with these types of schemes. The rest of the Americans who are voting for democrats are aiding these schemes and that’s definitely bullshit.
H. Schemes to Overthrow the U.S. Government
It has been well reported how those who want to destroy western thought and the western way of life are attacking the American electoral process. It may not be as overtly observable other forms of interference but the presence is real and has one purpose: Abolish the American constitution. The world knows that America can not be overthrown by direct assault. The military is simply too strong. American can be overthrown from within. Socialism’s goal is to specifically do that. Socialism and the current, traditional (freedom, self-governance, self-responsibility, etc.) way of American life are not compatible. Socialism would be impossible to establish with a frontal assault. Thus the rise of “democratic socialism.” The process of piece by piece, inch by inch, trick unsuspecting American’s into voting for socialistic policies until the whole is established.
Today’s “democratic” socialists tap into society’s growing entitlement, lower standards of accomplishment, and the lack emotional resilience of an ever increasing emotionally fragile populace, a populace that has left common sense behind. In other words, they play the democrat for the specific purpose of overthrowing the government.
Just Remember
Democrat dem-o-crat adverb.: act of falling into the bullshit again. Note: Often used as a helping verb. EXAMPLE: There’s stupid, then there’s democrat stupid.
No one blames someone for falling for bullshit once, but when falling for bullshit is repeated often it is a special kind of stupid. The current political landscape is an amazing time to see bullshit. Unfortunately, it reaches far beyond the political realm.
So, would you just stop falling for this bullshit?
